- Application recommendation: Use grinding oil suitable for the material to significantly increase the service life and grinding performance of the tools. For best performance, use at a recommended cutting speed of 15-20 m/s. This achieves an ideal compromise between stock removal rate, surface finish, temperature load on the workpiece and tool wear. Increasing the cutting speed results in a slightly finer surface finish. Increasing the contact pressure results in a slightly coarser surface. The softer the material to be machined, the coarser the surface (when using , An increase in the stock removal rate should be achieved by using a coarser grit size and not by increasing the contact pressure in order to prevent unnecessary tool wear and thermal stress on the workpiece.
