Product Description:

This power tool is specifically designed for making plunge cuts. The tool is also suitable for making longitudinal and cross cuts in wood. When fitted with a standard circular saw blade, it can be used for sawing aluminium, plastic, thermosets and similar materials. The cordless plunge saw features a brushless motor, which ensures increased endurance, a longer service life, a more compact design and enhanced performance. The plunge circular saw has variable speed control, constant-speed electronics, a soft-start function and overload protection to safeguard the motor. During operation, the circular saw utilises Automatic Torque Drive Technology, which automatically regulates the speed to achieve optimum performance depending on the requirements. The plunge saw features a quick-adjust angle setting for -1°, 22.5° and a quick-select option of 45° or 48° as the maximum tilt angle. The cutting point remains exactly in the same position at all angle settings. The scoring mode ensures a tear-free cut. Even at the maximum tilt angle, the DSP 600 does not tip off the guide rail. The saw is compatible with Makita guide rails. The Makita BL 1860 B is a powerful 18-volt Li-ion 6 Ah / 6000 mAh battery with an LED charge level indicator. The battery impresses with its increased endurance and power output, whilst weighing just 40 grams more than Makita’s 5 Ah battery. The full charging time is also just 55 minutes (using a DC 18 RC charger), which means the battery is ready for use again extremely quickly compared to its operating or standby time. As usual, the 1860 B is compatible with all Makita 18-volt class tools and offers a long runtime and service life thanks to Li-ion technology. The Makita DC 18 RC is a rapid battery charger for 9.6–18-volt Li-ion batteries from Makita. The charger continuously monitors and regulates voltage and temperature via an integrated microprocessor, thereby guaranteeing optimal charging processes whilst also protecting the batteries through optimally controlled cooling airflow. The rapid charger charges Makita’s 18-volt battery generation extremely quickly, resulting in very short charging breaks and a seamless workflow, particularly when, for example, two batteries are available.
